I am in love
That's right.
With my very own Laptop!!

No more sharing with everyone else. A portion of our tax return was spent on a beautiful HP Pavilion 17.3". 320gb HD, with 4g RAM. *Sigh* I'm really enjoying having the widescreen. I'm really picky about my programs touching on the screen (I know...it's odd). Now I can have a few windows open, all in front of me (without having to resort to a second monitor) and not feel claustrophobic about it. Gaming on Saturday night was a blast, everyone having their own laptop to run Maptools and character sheets. I didn't have to peer over someone's shoulder, and steal the mouse away anymore

. I can now have a desktop completely uncluttered with someone's shortcuts. I really like having one row, of small icons. The taskbar is also small on the bottom of the screen

. I can have all the files organized, and un-chaotic. I can have all the album covers to my music, and not hear complaints.
Okay okay, you get it
Other news...

. It's ALMOST spring. There is still snow laying here and there. Some days are warm, but the wind is still chilly.
OH!! I finally get a sewing machine sometime in the next few days. My grandmother bought a new one a few years ago...and then never used it. After much poking and proding, she has finally agreed that I can have it, and the sewing table that it folds down into. One more crafty hobby for me to get into

I am really excited about being able to make some patterns. My brother said yesterday "That's something I think you'd be really good at." So we will see. First I have to remember how to use a sewing machine. Any pointers/patterns/hints?
I am heading out in 30 minutes. I am on a mission to find a new bedding set complete with new comforter. The one we have been using for 4 years was a hand me down, it's falling apart and the colors in it are drab and dark. Our bedroom is so small that I want something bright and colorful

Lighten it up in there! AND HEY, if I can find something in purple...well..all the better
Video games...I've rocked through Bioshock 2

, started Mass Effect 2 yesterday

AND my husband bought FFXIII on Saturday, so I'll be starting that soon enough.
Books, we've been going to the Public Library every couple weeks, so I've been reading a smattering of books. Now I am reading Spellbinder, by Melanie Rawn. So far, it's okay. I only pick books in the library that I probably won't buy.
Drawings, I have a few in progress. Stitchings, I have 1 finished that I need to post. 1 that I ordered, that is needing the sewing machine to baste all the edges before I start. 1 that is at the 90% mark, I just need to finish up the intense 2 inch border that it has. (IE BOring PART).
KIDS are great

Baby Elias is walking, running, talking, climbing and generally becoming a toddler in a 1 year old's body

He is damn adorable doing it all though

. Aralynn is really doing well in Kindergarten. She has matured in the last 6 months, to the point where everyone is recognizing just how much easier she is. We still have some issues of course, but there is hope that she will do well in the long run

Oren is driving me insane

. He has the Spring Bouncies, has energy to spare and I cannot wait for him to start school in the fall. I'm looking forward to it tiring it him out.
Well I've said everything that I'm doing, and not really how I am doing. I'm okay. I don't think I'd be as tired if the baby started sleeping through the night at some point, but what can you do but cope? I like winter, but I'm glad to get into the sun again. It's cheered me up a bit

I know I'm not the most social but I am trying. I'm hoping good things continue to happen
LOVE YOU ALL
Krista
